Check Out This Awesomely Bad ‘Tron’ Inspired SLS AMG
I’ll say this again, Japan has a very weird car culture. While most of us will think of drifting or all the import tuner scenes like SEMA as examples of Japanese car culture, the truth is, those are far tamer than what you actually find on the streets in the Land of the Rising Sun. And here is a prime example of this fact.
Here we have a Mercedes SLS AMG. It’s a brilliant, shouty car, which has gullwing doors that is already a bit obnoxious in its stock form. However, for the owner of this particular SLS AMG, stock was not obnoxious enough. They obviously saw Tron too many times and decided to do the same to their supercar.
This SLS AMG is decked out in every conceivable way with LEDs and new lighting elements. However, the more I look at it, the more I kind of actually like it. I keep getting that Kavinsky song “Odd Look” playing through my head with this car, and the two definitely work.
But what do you all think of this SLS AMG? Is it a travesty or is it somehow cool?
