Mercedes Introduces Apple’s CarPlay in New C-Class

A lot of people wish that their iPhones were more integrated into their cars. Siri, as charming as she might be, is not the best co-driver. That’ll be changing in the coming months thanks to Apple’s latest feature, “CarPlay.”

Essentially, CarPlay is feature that brings the Apple app ecosystem to the infotainment center in your car. That means you can use all the stored locations in your Apple Maps app, issue voice commands through the car’s built in systems, the whole nine yards.

Mercedes will be trotting out the new tech in the new C-Class at the Geneva Auto Show. Oh, and if you’re an Android fan, don’t worry. This deal isn’t exclusive. As soon as Android finalizes an in car system for their operating system, Mercedes will support it.
