Motor Trend Pits BMW X6 M Against GLE63 S AMG

It’s a battle between the Germans. Mercedes versus BMW. Heavy hitters if there ever were any. However, they aren’t fighting in the skies above London. And they’re not fighting with the C63 S AMG and the M3, or with the E63 AMG and the M5. Actually, they’re not fighting with cars at all. Rather, they’re fighting with what you see above, two heavyweight, turbocharged V8 SUVs, in coupe guise.

In the latest edition of MotorTrend’s “Head 2 Head,” host Jonny Liebermann pits the new Mercedes GLE63 S AMG against the BMW X6M. Both are bruisers that weigh in at a few tons, but both have twin-turbocharged engines to produce staggering performance figures that belie belief.

I recently got my hands on the GLE63 S AMG and, hand on my heart, that SUV rips a hole in the fabric of time and space. It’s ludicrous, savage, and above all else, allegedly jumps really well.
