Throwback Thursday: Top Gear Reviews McLaren SLR
No, it didn’t have “gull wings” like the classic SL 300. It probably can’t corner as well as the SLS AMG either. In fact, AMG wasn’t even a part of the equation with this thing. It wasn’t exactly the purest “Mercedes,” which, incidentally, made it one of the best Mercedes ever. Modern day MB is all about “smooth surfaces” and “sculpted lines.” This one had razors in the door and the hood. What a difference a decade makes.
