New 190 owner, random stalling.

So last night I bought an 89 190e with the 2.6. It ran amazingly for about 30 of the 60 mile drive, then it started randomly stalling, mostly when letting off the gas and around cloverleafs. It was somewhat hard to start back up, it needed cycling of the key for it to start. I'm thinking fuel delivery problem? Fuel pump? Relay? I left it at my work and drove my subaru home (I work at a subaru dealer) When I got to work this morning I started it up, it seemed to crank for a "sort of" long time, but then ran great....... Any advice would be appreciated! I really dont want to start having buyer's remorse.

It was about 94 degrees yesterday, with about 80% humidity, lots and lots of traffic, car never overheated.

Well, I decided I'de try to drive it home (another 30 miles away from work) It ran flawlessly, did rear pads and rotors, drove it to the liquor store, the gas station, bought some seafoam from the auto parts store. Was a little bit rough running when initially started, but cleared up with a little throttle. STUMPED.

I'm gonna throw a fuel filter in it tonight, see what happens, the fuel pump is VERY loud, it may be working hard. Are there possibly two pumps on my 89? Do I have to drop the tank to get to the inlet sock? ANY help will be appreciated.

I think I figured it out, but those are the famous last 190 words. But I was poking around under the hood, and the vaccume line for my fuel pressure regulator was hooked into nothing, no vaccume going to it at all, so I tied it back into the system, adjusted my kickdown cable, and seafoamed it, and now it runs like a raped ape, its seriously quick! We'll see how she drives on the way home from work, but the drive TO work was amazing.

Seafoam is about $10 at any autoparts store, it helps get rid of carbon on intake valves/pistons/intake manifolds. Since I last updated this thread it had stalled many more times, however I believe its fixed, as it hasnt stalled in over two weeks, I adjusted the mixture screw on the intake about a 1/4 turn richer, and have been running marval mystery oil in the gas about every tank or every other tank. Its been about 500 miles or more without any stalls, with some pretty decently long trips added in there, (80 miles or more). As for the vacuum line, find your fuel pressure regulator, and see if the vac line coming off it is connected anywhere, mine was kind of jammed into the intake breather, which does nothing!
