New Member - Help Please!!!

My name is Zachary, I live in the U.S. (WV) and I own a 1989 190E 2.6L.

I joined the site because I need to put another engine in my car and I have the new engine almost all put together, but I need to put the head on at this point...

Can someone please help me as far as how I set the timing chain?

I see that there cog on the end of the CAM shaft has a dowel pin with an arrow pointing to it, and I also see that there is a pin in the harmonic balancer/crank pulley that looks to be "top dead center".

I'm pretty confident that my crank shaft is positioned correctly, with my numbers 1 and 6 cylinders up. I just need to get my cam shaft in the appropriate position.

Please help me!!!

Thank you so much in advance.
