SLK/R170: SLK 230 Kompressor (Basis 193 PS) Tuning-Kit V23k

SLK 230 Kompressor (Basis 193 PS) Tuning-Kit V23k
SLK 230 Kompressor (Basis 193 PS) Tuning-Kit V23k
vs
SLK 230 Kompressor (Basis 197 PS) Tuning-Kit V23k
I am guessing this is referring to the HP of your car. I have a 2003 SLK230 with 192hp so I am assuming that I would need the SLK 230 Kompressor (Basis 193 PS) Tuning-Kit V23k
Kompressor-Kit: Strap disks combination to the increase of compressor-number of revolutions and drawer pressure, including. Sport air filter and electronic adaptation of the motor control. (Yet more achievement receive you over drawer air cooling or specialties more crooked concern).
# Hubraum: 2,295 cm³ # achievement: 165 kW = 225 HP # torque: 320 Nm from 2,900 RPM # Top Speed: 242 km/h
# fuel type: Super plus (ROZ 98) # exhaust fume standard: Unchanged
Can anyone confirm this? Can anyone give me a clue where to get aftermarket parts installed? I am assuming the MB dealer will speak negetively regarding the mod to the car; however I don't want some moron mechanic touching my car. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ha didn't know that made a difference. I am from Washington D.C. USA. I was just going to have the kit shipped. I have a few friends that are from Germany and Austria.
So how do I know which to get?
SLK 230 Kompressor (Basis 193 PS) Tuning-Kit V23k
vs
SLK 230 Kompressor (Basis 197 PS) Tuning-Kit V23k
Is one just more powerful or are each make for a specific slk 230?

The difference is in the supercharger and intake .
The 193 is pre 2000, the 197 post 2000.
I have never read a post where these kits do much.
Most seem to get most joy from a larger crank pulley from ASP. with standard aircleaner and original computer program.

Vaeth does make very good larger than OEM intercoolers. This is confirmed by a friend who remains in the shadows as he really has a lot of good insight into the M111 engine! His name is Thomas Strack. Good guy! Thomas if you read this could you please email me at steve872@hotmail.com as I have some ideas I would like your opinions on!

Upgrade hp
You can do several things:
pulley kit: about 12-15hp
chiptuning: 30hp
race filter: 7hp
Performance exhaust 5-8hp
while these boosts seem marginal, remember you are dealing with a small 4-cylinder already boosted by a supercharger(kompressor) starting at 193hp. Potentially you are adding another 60 hp to your sporty two seater and at 253 hp(+\-) you get more power than from a Four seater bmw 330ci with 6 cylinder and 0-60 in 6.8 seconds making close 164 mph.
That is easy 8-cylinder corvette territory from the 90s at half the power capacity.
All calculated you just added 32% boost to your existing motor and that aint shabby.
Dont forget to upgrade your tires and brake capacity as well. If you add bigger rims and tires, from your standArd 16 to 17 or even 18 you just added more speed(slightly).
cheers.

MBWorld Fanatic!
15 year old thread ! LOL
Well I can tell you the best part about a pulley is the low end torque.
So much nicer drivability going uphill etc. cruising at 2K rpm and
just barely touching the throttle on a 30 degree incline.
Trans doesn't have to work as hard.
Yes, same engine in 02 C230.
