Dyno DYnamics Vs. DYnojet- What is the loss

Dyno DYnamics Vs. DYnojet- What is the loss

Dyno Dynamics reads 10-15% lower than dynojets. Is this correct. I am going to use a Dyno Dynamics and don't want to be shocked. I am ignorant when it comes to this...can some one please chime in.

I did some search by the way, nothing came up...just in case, lol!!

Well back when I had NOS they dyno'ed my car on a dyno dynamics machine and it read EXTREMELY low. So don't be upset man.

(BTW, I was also having problems with my car and they couldn't get dyno mode on, muggy day, etc so that could have been part of the reason. The important thing was that I saw gains).

I agree but in order to bring it up to real HP or Dynojet you have to multiply by 10-15%

for example if you get 200WHP in Dyno Dynamics x 12%= 24 WHP

so dynojet would be 200+24= 224 WHP...i beleive everyone uses 12 to 15% to get dynojet HP

Find a Dynojet in you area, on www.dynojet.com you can do it by your area code.

Dyno Dynamics can be manipulated in many different ways. Do not waste your time and money.

Thanks vadim, operator says to use 12%. It is that much lower than dynojet.

all dyno's can be manipulated so don't worry about the machine you're on, worry about the shop/operator you choose. i'd use the dyno dynamics machine for tuning/afr purposes, but yes they will typically yield lower numbers if you're just looking for bragging rights. 10-15% lower is a fair estimate.

HAHAHAHA, not for braggin rights, just really wanted to know what I should be making after all of my evotech upgrades, lol!!! by yeah it does make you feel good after a while I have to admit, lol!!! The shop I will be going is a very well respected shop and the guys know how to dyno E55's...which is not what I could say for many of them out there.

then you'll be fine. did you not use their dyno for a baseline?

Sorry, I disagree. Dynojet has a fixed drum weight. They can not be changed. The only parameters operator can change is the weather setting, and those are only worth 3% from best to worth. And on newer Dynojets those functions are locked out as well.

On other dynoes, operator can change and vary load settings, which can have as much as 20%-30% effect on power ratings.

Also, no matter what dyno you are on, make sure there is a lot of airflow from big fans.

i agree with you vadim that there's less room for software manipulation on dynojets but the intent of my statement was to recommend finding a reputable operator rather than worrying about only using a dynojet.
