Warm Air in the morning

This morning when I pulled out of my garage and drove for about a mile I felt warm air from the A/C vent. I do not use A/C during winter (winter here is about 45F in the morning and 66F during day) and I do not get any air comming from the vents. I shut off the vents and the warm air went away and I opened the vents again and no warm air after that. I usually warm up the car for 2 to 3 minutes. Anyone experienced this?

I never warm up my cars. I wait a few seconds for for the oil pressure to build up and drive off. Warm-up = waste o'gas.

Back to the original question... how much air are you getting from the upper vents? My C240 always seems to send a small amount of heated air to the A/C (upper) vents while in heat mode, but at a very low volume in relation to the floor vents. I think this is normal -- some air is also distributed to the windshield (defrost) vent during normal operation. Depending on the air distribution mode selected by the system in "auto" mode, you could have differing amounts of air coming from the various vents at different times. In manual mode, you can adjust the air direction yourself, although for me, the auto mode works great!

I would suggest you to leave the A/C on, as the A/C dries the air up.
