Quick question: can I install/retrofit an A 230 820 05 89 (R230) Comand into my C230 Coupe (W203). Is there any difference besides the mounting harnes (shape, dimensions,etc.) between the A 230 ... and the A 203 ... ???

A 230 comand fits in a 230...and that is all...the bottomside of the comand has a different shape as the 203 comand (or any other comand).

Thanks Steve. The only last thing to ask is how does it look like on a W203? Is it ok or you notice a big gap between the Comand and the dashboard (because of the different shape)?

I never tried this myself but have been mailing with someone who gave it a try...and gave up after his not too well fitted R230 comand had some electrical problems...I don't know whether that had to do with the install, faulty comand or whether the unit is just not compateable.
Save yourself time, money and efforts and get either a 203 or 209 comand.
