We'd like to invite all of you in the Southeast to GMP THAWOUT 2010!

Format will be similar to our past shows, with a Track Day on April 30th at Carolina Motorsports Park, followed by the Show/Open House on May 1st at our facility in Charlotte.

However, this year is a very special one because we are celebrating 35 years in the European aftermarket!



Track days are what we automotive enthusiasts live for. Join us Friday April 30th for an exclusive opportunity to become a member for a day at the Palmetto Motorsports Club, located at Carolina Motorsports Park.



To commemorate our 35 year history and our roots in motorsport, we will be unveiling our restored 1975 Rabbit race car. This Mk1 was the platform upon which our company was built, and was active in the Bilstein Cup and other SCCA events throughout the late 70's and 80's. Click here for the build thread

Saturday, May 1st is our Open House, APR chip day, and get-together from 10am to 3pm. We'd like to invite you enthusiasts out to our location to enjoy the car show, music, shop tours, manufacturer representatives and displays, chip tuning, product specials, a raffle and more.

We are asking longtime GMP clients to bring with them their oldest GMP catalog and submit stories from years past. Many clients have been back to see us after many years and we are honored and would like to chronicle these stories. We will have a commemorative shirt to present each person that shares with us their GMP experiences.

There is no admission charge for Saturday's events, and all ages are welcome. Feel free to bring your friends and family and join us.

Vehicles will be parked by Make (Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes, Porsche, Volvo, VW and Various) and People's Choice awards will be presented to the crowd favorite in each make. This is a casual format and every car registered for THAWOUT will be eligible.

VIP Registration is open for the show and closes April 21st, 2010. VIP Registration is $20 and includes a voter ballot, goodie bag with sponsor coupons, lunch ticket, event T-Shirt and a raffle ticket. Please state your shirt size when ordering.

VIP lunch will be catered by Waldhorn Restaurant. The authentic German menu will consist of a bratwurst, sauerkraut, German potato salad, pretzel roll, butter, and mustard.

Participants can also register the day of the show for $10, but will only receive the voter ballot and raffle ticket

THAWOUT 2010 trophies have arrived! It's been our pleasure to serve drivers of many different European makes and models over the years, and we'd like to level the playing field at the show, in honor of our 35th Anniversary. We are combining all the usual show classes into one People's Choice category with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place. May the best car win!
