Euro impact / bumper strips (All You Want To Know)
Thanks to Guido in Switzerland, who graciously obtained the european part numbers from his dealer, I was able to order the european bumper inserts from my local Mercedes dealer (Herb Chambers) here in Boston. It seems as if any US dealer can order european parts as long as you give them the part number.
The part is known as a 'rail' and it includes the chrome insert.

Please note that the last four digits of the part numbers (9197) represent the paint color of my car (obsidian black) and you must have your dealer substitute your four-digit exterior paint code if your car is not black. Each side costs $71 and they install quite easily. Just pry out the side closest to the grill and the other end simply slides out sideways.
I must say the car looks much better without the big ugly amber lenses, especially with the addition of a flat hood emblem. Most pictures of a european C32 will show holes for the parktronic sensors. The part numbers above are for non-parktronic equipped cars, so they do not have the holes.
Sorry but I don't know if these will fit anything other than a C32.

Good Job!
Great job on finding the part#...I was planning on getting the part#...but you just saved me the trouble of searching for it. Thanks. Do you really think that there would be much of a difference between the C32 and C320 bumper (top portion)? I don't think it will matter. Those pieces make the car look so much cleaner with out having the amber lights. I was about to buy the clear bumper lenses until they sold out...but now I would just rather spend the extra $22 bucks and get the bumper inserts.

Evosport has these for both sedan and coupe for $150 per pair. The are Lorinser items.

Clear lenses on ebay.... probably have to order something from overseas to get the other strips ... or just get some shop to do a bondo job on your current strips.

Autoclass.net, I remember they used to sell them for about 80bucks or try http://www.autowerksexpress.com/ and go under the clearance section, around 100.

Are the stock side markers easy to remove/replace? I was told you can just pry the lenses off and snap in the replacements. Are they glass or plastic?
