What year does a CLK55 have a paddle shift?

I read somewhere that it has one, but I can't find in a picture. It may be in a CLK63, but I can't find a straight answer to my question.

The US spec CLK55 only have the toggle buttons for the steering wheel "shifters".

Interesting in 2007 and up , the CLK550 had low profile plastic shifters (compared to the aluminum shifters on the CLK63 for example), that worked much better than the + / - toggle buttons on the CLK55.

Here is my steering wheel collection:

I have the buttons on my 03'.
Aesthetically I think the paddles are much better but I hardly ever use the buttons I rather use the shift gear.

I've driven both paddle and buttons and each perfom the the same when both hands are on the wheel.

Thanks for showing me the pictures. I didn't know there are different steering wheels for the CLK and E series. It looks like I see an airbag in the CLK550 steering wheel.

I don't get where the first picture comes from. Is it on behind the steering wheel or on the front where you push your thumbs? The last picture is what I have in my mind when I asked for the paddling shift.

The first picture is of the shift button, it sits on the back side of the wheel, same location as the shift paddle shown in the second pic. I changed my buttons out to paddles.
