I have cams in it. This was prior to tuning it. Needed alot more fuel at idle. I have been thinking about doing that but haven't been able to make one work. I definitely want longtubes. My headers are holding me back big time. I will give you a call today, sorry I've been so busy but I should finally have some time now

Thanks bro. It calmed down when fuel was added but it still sounds good. Hopefully it performs like a cammed z06 haha

When we started it I was jealous my car with the same cams and heads dosent sound that nasty lol. If we get my shifting fixed and his axles done we will both be WAY down in the 10's.

I pulled up to a Trans am the other night and he looked over and was like WTF
Thanks bro! Lets trade cars
Yea your car killed it on that dyno. Cant wait to get all the issues sorted out. Sucks that the dyno wideband was off, need to lean mine out a bit. Hopefully after long tubes and retune I will be crushing my pb

You guys have the heads done by someone local in VA? Would like to hear the car (or amgrocket's) how it idles with the fueling corrected to how much tamer it is and then of course after idle has dropped down after warmed up. Sounds nasty in that video though! And these are PTE cams?

There are people putting done 55x with stock heads and over 600 with no nitrous. So what does the low endof the curve look like?

Thanks!
Ok we will get an idle vid for you. Thanks. Yes they are PTE cams
That's what we call a happy dyno. What do these other 55's trap? If they don't run the car its just a dyno queen. We all know dynos vary and can be manipu;ated to read whatever you want. This is exactly why I say dyno's don't mean anything. I've made 680whp on a mustang dyno, what matters is what is run at the track. Once the shifting issue is sorted in Steve's car it will lay down a sick time (not that it hasn't already; tens off the bottle with full interior). We both don't care about dyno numbers, lets see how it really performs

Yeah, dynos don't me jack because so many cars out there put up pretty numbers on a dyno and dont back that number up when they run the car and the same car can go down the street to another dyno and put up a number 50whp different on the same day.
10.8 on motor at full weight is huge to me, when you strip the car of many parts making it weight 400 or 500lbs less it is a lot easier to do stuff than how the car actually runs daily. I used to be in to stripping a car to get every tenth and mph I could but that isn't truely how the car will perform when you are rolling down the interstate and a Z06 pulls up next to you, so going in full weight and seeing her true colors is what I like to see if we are talking about a daily driver street car.
I don't know if it was mentioned though, but was the car running pump or race gas?

The dyno we used reads ridiculously low for being a dyno jet. So low the owner of the shop said that he knows for a FACT it would make over 600 on another dyno. Does that matter to me no what does though is track numbers. Now we know you own a dyno and can manipulate the numbers just like we could have but what does a 6xx hp car that runs mid 11's look like?? A dyno queen and one that might not of made an honest 600. We went from the dyno to the track without testing anything and still went a 10.84 on motor at 130 at 4455lbs on the 3rd pass of back to back runs and heat soaked. Yea I think the heads proved themselves. The car is far from even close to what it will run when everything is figured out. That 10.84 was the last pass of the day when I finally launched it hard. It ran 10.76 spraying half way thru 2nd and part of third after letting off for it not shifting. It also trapped 132 on a 10.78 run so yea it makes power

Yah, he called me as soon as he finished with your car and told me. Apperantly we had the same dip in power. So he will retune me this week since I have my own private rental at PBIR next Sunday. I don't expect much since we don't have weather like you guys but I want to see what we can do. South FL heat and humidity suck!!!!!! I will be looking to get heads and cams very soon.
