GLK 3rd year serive
First, according to the service manual, I need to have Service 3 - oil and filter change for engine, Service 10 - roof clean and lube, and Service 20 - 722.9 transmission oil and filter change.
Checking the service book again, it looks like service A (odd year) and service B (even year) are only check and inspection, which doesn't include any 'actual work'. I am wondering if I can just tell them to do 3, 10 and 20 but nothing else. Or just 3 and 20, I suppose I can clean and lube the roof myself.
Does anyone have experience with the 3rd year service?
- 'A' service items 1,3,10,20
- lubricate sunroof slides
- transmission service flush and fill (2.5 hours) only $60 for Mobil ATF
- checked brakes/tires
- topped up washer fluid
- lubed door locks
- checked battery
I questioned the 2.5 hour labor $cost$ for the transmission service but was told it was part of the required service to maintain the factory warranty.
ps: $680 CDN is cheap. I was quoted $700-$800 USD for the transmission flush alone. I don't think you got the correct service.

I would ask the dealer to itemize the 722.9x transmission service. The quote sounds like half the job omitting the torque converter draining. There are volumes about the 722.9 transmissions in the W204 (current C-Class) forum.
