What fluid goes in here???
Hey guys just wondering what fluid goes in here and I haven't found anywhere in my manual that tells me how to top it up. How do I top it up?? I see some temperature numbers on it as well as minimum level until i have to top it up. I hope that makes sense. Thanks!!

My guess is power steering. I'd have to pop the hood on the wife's vehicle to be sure.

Remember Mercedes uses a special power steering fluid, if you do decide to top it up.

Ok so i went to MB and bought some power steering fluid. I was told there are 2 versions one that is green and one is brown???? I was told the w164 needs the brown one which is 236.3. IF anyone has topped up their power sterring fluid can you please check if I got the correct one? Thanks!!

ok guys so i have done some research and it looks like the green power steering fluid is not the one that goes into the ml w164. Its the brown one I just wanted to make sure. The Brown fluid is NOT synthetic whereas the green one is synthetic. Please correct me if I'm wrong thanks!!

you posted in a WRONG section. This is for ML350 SUV. While you're at the MB dealer buying the fluid why didn't ask them ? The parts guy should be able to tell you which is which '-))

Didn't I post this in the ML w164 section??? I'm sure I did. Yeah I did ask the guy and he looked like he didn't know too much so I wanted to make sure that's all, by doing extra research and be 100% certain. He did give me the correct one though.

The spec sheet I have calls for 236.3/236.6 or 236/7
I would match it to what is in there now (green or brown) and stick with that, so I would guess it's the brown?

You should not need to be topping up powersteering fluid unless there's a leak. If there's a leak, get it fixed under warranty.
