2013 C300 248 HP engine ????
Does anyone know the origin of this engine? It is now 3.5L and has increased the HP from 228, in the old engine, to 248. Did they take the 3.5L 268 HP engine, that was used in my 2006 C350, and detune it or is this a completely new engine?
I would like to find out the 0-60 time in the C300 and the estimated fuel economy.

The current 3.5 cgi engine is the one with 302 HP. It is a 60 degree engine as contrasted with the 90 degree 3.5 engine in my W203 C350. That engine has 268 HP. Maybe they are taking the latest cgi engine and using port injection. Somehow they are dropping the hp to 248. If anything it must be for increased fuel efficiency but that is one of the great features of cgi. It is a real mystery until someone can come up with some facts. I would sure like to know the details.
