2012 C63 w/ performance pack brake questions
I was just curious if the 2012 C63 with performance pack (read red calipers) come with 1 piece or 2 piece rotors?
I was reading somewhere that they should be 2 piece rotors....
any pictures would be greatly appreciated.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

It's a 2 piece design..."Dual Cast"
The hat is cast aluminum and there's pins that go form the hat to the rotor. It's not a 2 piece that we are all used to seeing. But it's considered a 2 piece....
When these need to be replaced I believe the whole thing needs to be replaced. The 2 piece rotors we are used to... We can remove the aluminum hat and replace the rotor.
As soon as my dual cast needs replacing I'll get the ACG, Evo or EC 2 piece aluminum hat rotor.
My dealer is telling me the APX comes with a 1 piece rotor that is really not that expensive to replace (relatively speaking). Everyone posting here, and from previous threads, are suggesting the brakes are 2 piece rotos which cost a fortune to replace with OEM parts.
Any input from either side (north or south of the border) would be great...

Yes they are different from the standard car... They are completely solid (integral disc); cast as one full piece on a non P31 car.

I did hear of the 2 yr wear and tear offered by MB Canada. Great news for us canucks, but how much wear and tear is required by MB Canada before they will consider replacing pads and rotors under warranty?
How long did you drive your car before having to replace them?
What kind of driving style (spirited daily driver or are you at the track 3-4 times per year)?
I ask becuz I was told it is pretty difficult to wear down the rotors enough to warrant asking for a replacement within the first 2 years...
Input???
