Ubiquitous5 Build Thread: 2012 C350 + BBS + H&R

Hi everyone! Going to finally introduced myself. I sold my 2010 S5 in January for fuel consumption reasons and anticipation of the '13 S5. However, I have never owned a MB and was always attracted to the interior of the car. Anyway, I got a good deal on a lease and here we are. I will also share my experience and pros and cons on the vehicle for potential buyers. Will edit post later. To sum it up this is what's on the car.

Leather Package | Command Single Disc Nav | Backup Camera | Rear Spoiler
BBS CH-R 19 x 8 and 19 x 9.5 (235 F and 245 R) | H & R Sport Springs

Rear tires are too narrow for such rims, also floor mats would help to the interior.

I ran 255 for approximately a week. Rubbed a little when I was driving by myself, and rubbed like crazy when I had one female passenger in the car.

It was rubbing even when I made left turns lol.

245 = No Rub

Fair call. Is there a chance to roll the inner lip on the guards?? Or have you done that too?

I didn't want to roll it. Its my first time leasing a car and didn't want to mess with it. As long as I didn't rub I was happy. I know I'm stretching "a bit" but its not that bad at all.

BenzoiBoi: Thank You!

Seeing as you don't have the lighting package and your headlights are blue, I suspect you switched the bulbs. Care to share which bulbs you changed em out to?

Yes...the lighting package was really hard to find in a C350 with red leather in January. It is ridiculous that MB would sell a car without it. I mean, it just looks retarded on the road, same as if you saw a new BMW, Audi, Infiniti with regular headlights. I would gladly pay for it, unfortunately they weren't available.

I installed an aftermarket HID kit to it. The Bulbs are 6000k I believe.

I like it! Good job.

Have you though about perhaps painting the side-marker?

I know it's distinctive, but it is a small "mod" and would change the look greatly IMO.

Great question. I actually have considered it! When I had the S5, I had to buy the European headlights just to get rid of the orange amber. I like the fact that MB just put it off to the side because its still required by law in the U.S.

I've been really busy lately and I haven't had time to do any mods. Currently trying to buy a second home. I had the wheels for 2 months before putting them on, so mods are going to come by really slow lol.
