Hi,

I want to change the spark plugs in my 97 c230.
I've never done it but it should be fairly straight forward. (done honda cars before).

I took out the cover. I took out the intake pipe to the TB.
I now see wires that connect to the spark plugs.
How do I take them(wires) out? Just pull? or screw it out?

Please help.
step by step will be very appreciated.

I know that some members have done it before...run a search using "spark plugs" and do a specified search in the w202 forum

Through search, I found your post asking the very same question. "where's the spark plug?" lol.

I was in the right track.
I just had to make sure what I was about to do was right.

So, have you done it yourself ?

there are two square boxes on top of 2, 4 plugs. I guess it's a coil from reading in other posts. Just remove them and go at the plugs (Just pull the connect wire? and then unscrew the plugs?)

Spark plugs replace was done, finally.

Took the engine cover off, pull the boot after removing 2 ignition coil boxes. Took the old plugs out, put new ones in. Disconnected the - terminal of the battery, reconnected.
The CEL light was gone about 200km and then came back on.
Now it's time for MAF sensor.
