Thanks very much for the detailed instructions and pictures.
I completed it in about half an hour, most of it due to the fact that I dropped the 'brass' clip in my engine bay. Fortunately it went through to the ground, so I just had to back up, and CAREFULLY look for it on the ground. Mine was no longer brass coloured, but grey, so it blended in well with the concrete!
My hood now opens without any problem, and no 'tricks'!

ok my latch is broken due to it getting snagged under the big star grille. I contacted this jerry guy and paid him $10 via paypal. I never got my item and emailed him and paypal. He claimed to have no idea what I was talking about and that he had no idea why there was $10 in his account. I think he's crazy. Anyways I got refunded by paypal...anyone know where else I can get an extended latch? or a stock one that I can modify? thanks.

Please Help!!
Hello every one, I have a 2003 CL 600 and recently, I locked the hood permanently after removing and reinstalling left and right side hood locks. I forgot to tighten the cable before shutting the hood . I have the cooling fan removed and sitting in the trunk; Would it be possible to reach from below to the locks and remove the bolts on hood locks? It is possible to remove bolts on hood locks manually as I had left them very loose. But it is very hard for me to lift the car high enough since it is parked in parking lot. would there be any 2nd option left for me?(Besides reaching the hood locks from underneath the vehicle), It has been a month now and car has completely sunk to the ground with the wheels touching the body. I was suppose to tow it to the garage today, but the tow guy told me not to take any chances as I would end up breaking some plastic panels or bumper (since the tires are touching under-body)Can someone please give a good suggestion on picking the hood lock as I am very confused and not sure what to do.
