Heated Steering wheel Revisited
I started to do a heated steering wheel project several years ago. I though I could not do it but it seems more reality now. I have not finished it yet. It requires replacement of all switches in the center column area to w211 switches. I have a heated wheel already. Waiting on airbag to come in. Control module resides behind lower panel on drivers side. Twisting the steering adjustment lever activates this feature. I will take pictures and post after I am done.
the control module receives temp signals from the interior sensors. If the temp is cold, you can activate the system. If the interior is too warm, the system will not work.
The control module changes voltage to ~42-47 volts to lower amperage so it can run into the steering column spiral.
