My power steering pump was replaced under warranty with 27k miles on it for "internal mechanical failure" (it was making noise).

Well let's hope it is low & aerated fluid.

Mines starting to get this.. BLAH its kind hard to steer doesn't feel the same.. With the AC on it seems to fix this issue a little.. Maybe it could be the PS pump =(

Uh oh, not good!!! I just had the same issue of the PS feeling as if it wasnt there. It turned out to be the PS pump failing and griding metal shavings to the rack and pinion. If your under warranty then get it checked out ASAP. If not your wallet will take a HEAVY hit like mine did. I had a local garage fix it and they charged me 1600 for a new PS pump and a refurbished rack and pinion. MB dealer wanted 1600 just for the refurbished rack and pinion. This is a common problem though with the MB cars. Were you driving your car like you stole it? Burn outs, donuts, ect? Thats normally how they act up from what I have seen and heard.
