I have a 2006 C230 Sport and would like to know if my wheels are silver or hyper silver. Did the factory use both colors during manufacturing or just one? They are the factory 5 spoke wheels.

Hypersilver is darker then regular silver.

Its probably silver. Hyper silver is more of an aftermarket color. Hyper has a slightly dark shade. If you're looking to repaint them there's actually a wheel paint in a spray can that matches ours and BMW wheels perfectly. Ill have to look for it.

Brand is Wurth and its a silver wheel lacquer paint and clear lacquer kit.

That's Mercedes "Sterling Silver". The paint formulation is a Mercedes trade secret,... so all those Mercedes style rims can't copy it.

If it's minor paint touch-up repair,.. the Brilliant Silver from our generation of W203/CL203 matches pretty closely. If its major paint repair and you need to paint one whole wheel,... you'll need to paint all 4 to get the paint on all 4 wheels to match.

is it a deep curb rash? If its a light one you can just sand the rash smooth and just paint over it to cover it up. If its a deep one you can do it like body work, just tap off the area you want to fix, sand it down smooth then put some bondo on it and sand it down to match it with the wheel then paint it. Thats how some wheel shops do it.

They are probably just a silver, but Hyper-Silver can look very close to a regular silver in some cases. I believe that the hyper-silver starts with a black base coat and then silver over the black.

Hyper Silver is brighter with some black in the mix. My AMG replicas are hyper silver. Nice colour.

Hyper silver is a bright silver. Very close to Sterling silver which Mercedes uses on their AMG rims.
