We have the Britax B-Safe seat in our 240 right now...gonna put the Recaro Pro-Ride in soon. Fit is not an issue.

I'm trying to figure out why it would even be in question in the first place, honestly. It's a 5-person sedan.

2005 C230K coupe
Have installed a baby seat in the coupe when the real family-mobile was temporarily out of commission. There was decent room for the seat and the tethers are all there. Inserting and extracting the baby from the seat in the back of a 2 door coupe is quite a physical challenge however!

It'll fit on the left or right side of the rear seat. My Mom and Dad drove me home in a 1987 Chrysler Daytona so no doubt it'll fit in a Mercedes sedan.

I actually use my CLK as my daily driver, with the baby seat in the back passenger side. I am 220+ pounds, and getting the 2 year old in and out, is quite the challenge... but as long as the passenger seat base is slid far back the seat folds forward quite far which allows me to pretty much crawl into the rear to buckle her up. and she has learned already to keep her feet clear when the seat comes back... learned really quickly, actually.

There is room for a baby seat. The trunk is big but however it is a very small car. Fitting 5 inside is a joke. If space is of your concern I would personally get into a E Class instead.

I've thought about a w211 wagon with the amg kit but mpgs are also a plus since the 05 230 gets good mpgs.

I have two in the back of my wagon. It's tight, but works. I have one in the middle and one on passenger side. Leaving just enough room for one passenger in back.

Let me know if you want me to snap a pic.

We have a older ford escape that just sits unless we need to haul stuff and took it out to get our Christmas tree several weeks ago and it was so easy taking the car seat out...more room height wise and didn't have to bend as much taking the car seat out...

Yes if you can post a pic that would be nice

hey alexbenz- here are a few pics. The tray in the middle receives a carry and go Graco seat for our 10 month old. It takes up more room than a standard seat/the Eddie Bauer unit for our 3 year old. I had to put it in the middle or it would require the be seat moved forward to "gaper-windshield licker" position- and I am not that old. )

I did search out a physically smaller unit for my car versus the wife's SAV.

Good luck on it.

if theres a car seat behind the front passenger would the passenger be comfortable? in my lexus it seems better than the tsx but might be trading in the tsx for a highlander/venza so getting a w203 would be my new daily so i think it'll be fine...

Town and Country was the best move we made to haul the family...

The power sliding doors alone make it worth it!

Had it been available when we ordered ours...I would get a
Model S with side sun screens and safety tech package!

This is the reason for a minivan. We test drove wagons, larger sedans, cross overs, SUVs and when it came down to it...we love our van. Now, they are not for everyone, and with one kid...even the w203 was okay...with our second, and the double stroller and the gear something larger that could still haul friends and family was needed.

I personally love it for what it is. I don't drive it expecting a spirited drive, and it suits my wife perfectly for daily errands even with almost 300HP.

We have keyless go, power remote doors, 4 heated seats, heated steering wheel, Sirius, NAV, Dual DVD with Blue Ray, Bluetooth phone, Blind Spot and Parking Assist, etc. etc. plus with the Stow and Go I can pick up anything I really need for a project!

Not trying to sell you, matters not to me...just saying from a "car guy" to I assume a "car guy", the minivan seems to be the best family hauler pound for pound...

oh no doubt a mini-van makes sense, has everything, easy to get in and out but from a look perspective i think there ugly but that;s me...rather get a suv for now but who knows...last weekend we were at the dealerships and almost went home with a venza but it didn't work out but might get a rav4/highlander for now and trade in the acura but i'll still get something just not sure what but a w203 is still on the list for me. It'll be perfect for just the baby and i when i have to pick him up and date night it's good for 2 and if we need more room than we take the suv...Just need to play the numbers game and see what works for us....

E-Class is the way to go methinks. The C is just too compact, plus the E will be safer. Good luck!

the w211 would be ideal for me BUT the mpg's aren't too great and also price difference costs more than a w203...plus the w203 would be fully loaded with the sport amg kit and other goodies to where the w211 would have to be at least a 09 to get the e350 sport...

toyota sienna xle ltd....have put 100k miles on it and just absolutely love it with family, has everything under the sun excluding the 4wheel drive......just took a trip to mrytle beach and with the entertainmnet system and red box dvd's kids were happy and quite.....I am sporting some after market rims and with artic white pearl color it is just plain beauty.....automatic door automatic hatch, runnig board, parktronic sensors, radar cruise control, normal cruise control, nav, sunroof...you name it.....with 2 car seats we still have confortable room for 3 extra adults.....don't even get me started on all the home improvement projects that this van has helped me accomplish witout renting a truck...that reason alone is enough for me to own a van...even is the most biggest SUV's there is juts not enough rooom.....tell me one vehicle in the market that will allow a 6'1" person to tilte the seats all the way back and be able to have his feets stretched out straight....in this van I can.........

just sharing my experience...if you want I can post some pics ...

Oh I bet its just the way you describe it but for the time being with one child were staying away from a minivan... maybe when child number 3 comes around we'll think about it.

Don't feel like making a new thread but can anyone confirm mpgs on a 07 c230? Some sites show 17/23 and some 21/29...I know its a 2.7 v6 so can't be 17/23..

I have not read of anything that would make me think the blower on the m271 is an issue. Ensure the V6 your looking at has a good balance shaft! STF.

I just parked my '05 after a long day of use...31.6 MPG. If you are concerned with fuel...

oh man those numbers sound great...i just got a little over 23 mpg on my lexus and filled 65 bucks today...how many miles to the tank do you get?

I think i'm just going to find a 05 and buy a used set of 07 wheels, 07 exhaust or maybe change out the tips and a trunk spoiler to get the ride looking like a 07...really like the 07 wheels
