C230K reverse mirror tilt?

The C230K is difficult to back into parking spaces, and it would help if the exterior mirrors tilted down, as the owner's manual states they should. They do not on our 2002 C230K. Do they on your car? Any idea?

The mirror adjust button (above the headlight switch) has to be pushed in on the right mirror, and the tilt setting has to be enabled via the MFD. I believe it's under convenience features.

THE C350
Difficult to park lol I always though it was easy in my w203 guess the coupes are different.
Do you have memory seats I believe you have to for the car to have the dip mirror feature. If so follow RWD's advice and it should work. It has been known to stop working though.

Our car has manual seats. I see no need for power seats, as I (6' 1") and my wife (5' 10") have no problems setting them in positions we like, even for long drives to northern California, Las Vegas, or Phoenix. Nothing in the manual says that power seats are necessary for the mirror(s) to tilt down.

I went (again) all through the menu of the items set with the steering wheel buttons, and there is convenience menu and no mirror setting.

My 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a camera, complete with guidelines color-coded for distance, and mirrors which tilt down. Those features would be wonderful on the C230K.

It won't say anything about the mirror in the MFD...It will say something like parking assist. If it's not there you will need to enable it through SDS.

Maybe it's already on? Push the passenger mirror adjust button in, put the car in reverse, wait a few seconds and adjust the mirror while it's in reverse to where u want it. Put the car back in park or drive and it should go back to the original position. Worth a shot... Maybe it's enabled but not set in the MFD? If the drivers side button is pushed in it doesn't work.

I created a DIY to have the reverse mirror tilt feature added here https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...rking-aid.html

Thank you, but we sold the car and replaced it with a 2017 BMW 340ixGT. I will let the new owner know that you have developed this procedure. A few weeks ago, I saw what looked like a complete white C230K on a car carrier parked at a junk yard. They are far better cars than the front wheel drive junk Mercedes-Benz is now pushing at the bottom of their product line.
