C180 kompressor 2004 good or bad points
Hey guys I am very close to purchasing a c180 kompressor 04 model and was wondering what the general thoughts are on this model. The car I am looking at is owned by a close friend from new serviced every 15000 ks by merc dealer. Car now has 175000 ks with no problems. Any faults with this model to look out for? How many ks can be expected from this car without serious motor problems?

Welcome to MBWorld. You can check out the w203 subsection to find some common issues, but really your best resource is your close friend who can tell you what gremlins he's had to deal with. Make sure all recalls have been performed also as I believe there's been a few.

Cheers Michael I have been told that the car has never had any faults only thing to be replaced since new apart from usual services is new rotors and pads front and rear and an altnator. He says if I buy it he will get central locking looked at as it goes click click when it wants to lock and one of the door handles seems a bit loose. So in USA mileage the car is at 110000 miles and a price of $8000.00 Aussie. Too good for me to refuse I think. Cheers n beers Brad

Definitely a good score then from what it sounds like. I'd feel better also buying from a friend as they know they'll have to see you again if they try to swindle you or dump a lemon on you.
