The standard stereo with CD changer died in my wife's '06 C230 - it just quit working completely. All the fuses were good so I replaced it with the same model stereo that came out of my '05 C230. That worked fine for a year or so and now that one will not work - just like the first one, it won't even light up. I checked the fuses in the car but they're both good. I haven't taken the stereo out to check the fuse in the it, but I'm beginning to suspect it's something with the car rather than stereo. I don't know how to hook it up outside the car to test my theory though.

Does anybody have any ideas about where to look next?
