W203 Radio - No Sound from speakers
Hey everyone, I was hoping someone might be able to help me out with an issue. I just got back from a 2 week trip, where my car sat in the driveway. Upon returning, the speakers don't seem to work.
I have a 2004 C240 with the Bose sound system. Radio powers up and functions normally (or seems to). There IS sound coming from the sub (I think it's the sub?) behind the rear seat headrests, but it's very deep sound (which one would expect from a sub). There is no sound coming from any of the 4 door speakers. This is the same for both the radio or tape inputs (no CD changer in the car).
I've searched the forum quite a bit, and it doesn't look like anyone else has this issue. I've check the fuses (63 and 64 in the front, and the fuse on the amp), but they all seem fine.
I don't think it's a fiber issue, as there is some sound coming. All signs point to a bad amp, but I was hoping someone could give me some insight before I go out and buy one. Anyone have any ideas?!?!

Take out the side panel on the driver's side to access the fuses. There's a 25amp fuse that's clear. Make sure the car is off. Remove it and inspect it. If it's ok, re-connect to it's home slot. Turn on the car to check the radio sound.
Just did this to mine and I have sound once again. It's been years since I did this. Not sure how long it's gonna hold until I have to change out anything in the audio department.
