How much did you pay? I see some going for 200+ but it's with extra pipping.

$67.00 shipped from Amazon. I didn't get any extra piping with it, I went and bought a 2 foot piece of stainless 2.25". Cost me $100 to have it all installed.

Here is my thought.

Angeloxnet(C300) sounded best in my opinion.(very cool sound and little raspy but stable.
Mattewgonzales(c300) on Youtube sounded good also from outside.

I like that they both have cool sound but not unstable raspy sound(sounded close to C63 I think)

Nbturbos car was my least favorite from outside but from inside, the sound was great(didn't hear much different compared to stock, if the METAL HITTING SOUNG between 0:02 and 0:03 is not caused by x-pipe)

Do angeloxnet and Mattewgonzales have Megnaflow x-pipe?
and if you do and this Question is for everyone in forum, Megnaflow's x-pipe is short, so is it better to place x-pipe closer to front or toward back?
and what would be the difference in theory?

With all this thread about x-pipe, I decided to do get x-pipe (likely from Megnaflow).

And one more question. Does x-pipe in ANY ways messup car? meaning decrease the life of car, or impact other parts of the car to gone bad?

*Reason Y asking is i had G35 before and did some mod but car seems like gets weaker(older) quicker and changed engine sound crap like I have been driving for 10 years(although it was 3 years old). So, now I am trying to be careful about modding cars parts from factory setting. But I just love the roar sound(long as it can only heard from outside).
I have an 08 c350 and deleted 2/4 catylatic converters, put x pipe where cats were, and resonator delete. Sounds GREAT. Loud and smooth. None of that honda bull****. Sounds like the c63 (almost). Planning on putting magnaflow mufflers and quad tips. Take a look at my rims too VIP modulars

I have listened to some of the youtube videos and i hate to say it, some of the aftermarket exhaust kits do make our cars sound like a honda

I want a free flow exhaust too, just not that raspy honda sound. i may have to go something custom.

What i did is remove 2 of the 4 cats ( the 2 furthest from the engine) and deleted resonator. Put x pipe where cats where. welded two straight pipes back to mufflers. Sounds GREAT! Sounds similar to eissenman race exhaust

yeah the smaller engined c classes like 280 230 and those sound more honda like. But i think because it took out the 2 of my cats it sounds not as cheap if you will

One of these questions that can be debated and at the descretion of dealer, but it's to late now, voided warranty?

Hi all,

I'm a newbie when it comes to the X-pipe. Does this part replace a component in the exhaust system like a resonator or can you simply just add on this part to your current exhaust setup without the need to remove anything?

Also, I noticed that most ppl doing this mod happen to be driving a C300 or C350. Are these diesel or petrol engined in the U.S?

I'm from Australia, and mine is a C320 diesel (3.0ltr V6)

Is there any difference in sound quality between the 2 enignes?
