If you do the wiring yourself, i.e. wire it to your parking lights, it should be fine, just make sure your star is held in via 3 tabs. If you plan to do the full SAM unit install, I have no idea, likely will not be compatible.

I'm on the fence on this. When I first saw it in a Mercedes commercial I thought it looked really cool. It had a nice soft glow, but in reality it has a distinctive sharp outline which I think looks a little too harsh.
It would be nice if it softly illuminated the interior of the spokes of the star, but would be hard to do as the interior is a matte black which absorbs light instead of reflect.
I was hoping it would look more like this (this might be photoshopped):
Here's a photo of the illuminated clear plastic part behind the chrome star:
Unfortunately the aftermarket industry is catching on:
I'm worried that it will become a passing overdone fad, just like matte paint.

A207 817 04 16 star assembly, supply voltage, 12V
A210 540 47 81 connector housing for illuminated star
A000 540 24 05 crimp connectors with seal for connector housing, two required.
Unplug your passenger side headlight (easier to access). The plug has a locking connector, so watch the w204 headlight removal vid for info on how to get it unplugged.
Start your car with your parking lights turned on. Use a light tester to determine which wire goes to your parking lights.
Shave off the plastic coating on that wire with a razor and solder a new lead wire to that area. Alternatively, use one of those plastic wire splicers.
Wire +ve end of star to the wire you spliced to the parking lights, and ground the star to an available ground. There is probably one welded to your wheel well in the engine bay.

Quoting Vic from earlier in the thread. You almost definitley want the plug and 2 crimp connectors. It makes it very easy to unplug and plug back in if you ever need to.

Remove your star and/or your grille. I removed my grille because I had no idea how the original star was held in.

2014 C250 Luxury
Got it installed yesterday!
I'm not mechanically inclined so I had it installed at the dealership yesterday in Cary, NC. The techs seemed pretty excited about it as they hadn't done a C250 before, only the CLA's. It isn't as bright as the images you see in the adds or online when you look at it head on. At an angle, the lighting appears more prominent. I guess it's a nod to the slightly understated nature of MB owners? I'm glad I did it even though I can't see it unless I catch a reflection of it. Will try to post a pic or two when I get a chance to take them...

I got it installed by the book. Don't kno where to put the long cord tho. Anyways it wasn't as bright as I thought it was so it's not that tacky as the aftermarket ones.

Did you install it yourself? Was getting the pink wire out of the SAM as much of a PITA as it was for me? That was the hardest part of the install.

It's supposed to run along the edge of the engine bay I believe. There's a wire already there and you can just follow it and use the clips that came with the kit to secure it.
