I have the sport package .i always like seeing the Mercedes star on the hood when driving. Is it cheesy to have the star on the grill and hood?.

Mine came used like that. It's kinda awkward but I like it. I'm looking to replace it with the regular flat emblem.

Not trying to troll as it seems like you're looking for honest opinions - but my honest opinion is that it looks terrible. I've seen this on a number of old S-classes too - the hood ornament and sport emblem on the grill. Just looks weird to me - can't get over it. Could always just go grab a luxury grill, looks like they're a couple hundred bucks on eBay.

Having a stock luxury model, I didn't like it all. I ended up getting a new three tier grill without the Benz logo but I kept the hood oranament because it's just cool looking.

Hi,

I put on a black grille with the large black center star, then put on a chrome upright MB "peace sign" hood ornament. They look pretty good together because you don't see the center one until you're close because it's black.

I was thinking of the same 'porschebreath' but by just adding the sport grille and leaving the upright star on the bonnet. After reading the responses you attracted I too will leave mine exactly as it is, I think it would look a bit naf on reflection !!
