My daughter broke my drivers side marker and the backer plate fell out and my wife through it away. Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement backer plate for the replacement side markers I purchased?

I just installed aftermarket side markers last month. Mine used the stock (OE) backer plate so you should be able to order one through any MB parts source.

I'm not sure if there is a different part number for the right or left side backer plate (there is for the side marker light itself),

I bought a set of clear side markers off of eBay a few weeks back. I believe they were Depos. They came with the full assembly including the back plate.

That's interesting, I just bought and sold (https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ker-lamps.html) a pair of Depo side markers my last month for my '13 C350 coupe and neither sets came with the back plate. I used the existing (OE) back plate.
Maybe there is a difference between the Depo coupe and sedan side marker lights in terms of being able to use the factory back plate?

I got the depo led side markers for my '12 c350 sedan not long ago. They came with new backer plates but it was easier to just use the originals when I installed them. The extras are just sitting in a box in the garage now.
