You need to get to a dealer ASAP to get your ESP working. It's something that will required a STAR computer to fix.
Driving with no traction control or ESP is risky, especially in the rain. Those systems activate way more often than you think.

I thought I would add a reply to this as I have just had the same issue. Error 5001 - Control Module N30/4 Electronic Stability Program Control Module Internal Fault. Power steering heavy heavy, ESP lights on etc etc on my 2009 C300 W204. I disconnected the main connector to the ESP unit and sprayed Electronic Safety Cleaner over the connector. I dried it with a light spray of air and then waited 15 mins before reconnecting. Didn’t work, does the same thing when you drive ( heavy steering, ESP lights etc). Then I disconnected the entire ESP unit by removing the four T20 screws and slowly pulling the unit from its “stems”. I then tried a couple of things. One of these actually fixed the issue but i’m Not sure which one (which is why they say to only change one thing at a time). When you remove the ESP unit, it has a connector on a stem with four tiny gold sprung loaded pins that contact on four pads when you re-insert the ESP unit. I sprayed these four sprung pins and wiped the pads that they contact to with electronic safety cleaner spray using a cotton bud. I then sprayed the inside PCB of the ESP unit with the same spray. Coated the thing. Nothing to lose if it’s already malfunctioning I guess. Then used a gentle stream of air to dry it out and let it sit for an hour. Reconnected it and hey presto. Working again. I’m not saying this will fix yours but it did mine. It’s worth a try. It’s a relatively easy job to remove the unit although make sure you use the correct size T20 tool as the lower one is a bit hard to get access to. Good luck.

No oil at all. Nothing. Zero! I did end up getting the error back about six months after posting that reply though. I ended up taking the unit off and sending it to an ECU repair place in norther Sydney. $400 and it was done the next day. Has been fine since. The moral of this story is…..I’m not sure!! 😊

Sounds the same as my error when the ESP module failed.
