2012 c250 coupe rough/jerky transmission
Hi new to the forums....
I've had my 2012 c250 coupe for about 3 months now, and at first it seemed to shift really smoothly, but for some reason now, between 3-5 gears it kicks or jerks when it shifts up and down. I have no idea why and don't really know where to start.....
I've been trying to do some research and all I have come up with is to have the transmission fluid changed and to have the computer updated.
Anyone with similar issues or ideas on where to start? I'm afraid to take to to the dealer until I have an idea why this is happening all of a sudden .
My car has about 88,000kms
I used to use the manual shift option when driving , is it possible 5he computer learned the way I was shifting??? If so can I reset it myself??
Any help greatly appreciated Thanks

Out Of Control!!
To do it correctly you need someone with DAS Xentry, XDOS or Vediamo to connect and look at the transmission control module control log.
That log will provide the information on what is going on and provide a direction for the diagnostics.

I had the local import auto garage look at it, the mechanic plugged the computer into it and said it wasnt throwing any codes or anything. It's defiantly shifting hard and jerking between 3-5 gears. I don't have service records on the car I've only had it for 3 months.....

Well first start with a TCU reset which you can search for the how to. Then if you're still having the issue, you can try our TCU reflash and see if it helps. Try the TCU reset first.

Call any Mercedes dealer give your VIN number and ask you might still have the power train warranty. So engin and transmission could still be covered it's worth a shot

check the engine/gear mounts
I'm having those now need to be replaces my car just reached 50K 2012 C200
I'm going to change them in kuwait as their dealer is exactly half the price of doing it here in Doha

IIRC, the transmission adaptive feature is not hard to confuse.
Bypassing the manual shift function and driving smoothly for awhile (I admit not knowing how long you would need to do this) may be productive.
As much as my coupe tends to sooth, I would be remiss were I not to mention the automatic - with the adaptive function - can sometimes be a PITA............but it's a beautiful car.
And - like some beautiful women - (well, you get it)

Oh, do you have the C250 Sport with the optional Sports plus package (red stitching, 18 inch wheels)? That's the only one that can be manually shifted. It would have paddle shifters.
On cars without this package the manual shifting on the knob only limits the top gear up to the rev limiter. This is for downhill driving.
Seems odd to me they designed it this way as software wise it's two separate programs that do similar things. Guess they can charge more that way.

I would try the tcu reset like Narry suggested and you can also try to change the fluid. I change mine yearly as preventative maintenance as it doesn't cost much all said and done.
