Can Distronic Plus Be Added to a 2014 C350
Hi all,
I have a 2014 C350 with every package but the Distronic Plus. I have BSA and lane tracking so the radar is in place already.
Does anyone know how much it would cost and if it is a DIY job?
I saw that MBENZNL was the place to go for this stuff but it appears if Steve is no longer in business?
I also say a DIY on a W211 AMG https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...ot-s-pics.html however I'm not sure how similar it is to what I'm looking to do....
Thanks in advance...

You just have the radar in the rear bumber corners for the blind spot assist, you do not have the radar behind the star in the front grill for distronic. To retrofit, you will spend upwards of $10000

I use Steve all the time for my W204 and W203 retrofits. In fact, just got some parts the other day from him.

It cost me over $6000 to retrofit Intellegiant Lighting System (ILS) to my C350 with parts and programming, with me retrofitting the parts...probable close to 20 hours of labor involved for that. Doing a Distronic retrofit would take more labor

The cost of these retrofits always blows my mind. For those costs you'd think you could have a team of engineers design the systems from scratch.
Mercedes and BMW have some really expensive package upgrades.

Well actually it's the packages that are cheap and doing it after the fact that makes it expensive. Distronic is $3,000 as an add on compared to $10k, it's practically 1/3 of the price.

So it would really cost less doing a vehicle trade. But I could see it being a fun project. I'd enjoy it myself but not at those costs.
The only packages the car doesn't have is the Distronic Plus and Parktronic.
In my eyes the Leather Package subs the sports package since I'm in the works of getting 4 18 inch 5 spoke AMGs (standard on the sports package) and from what I've seen on all the CPO cars the leather appeared more worn on the Sports Packages.
Parktronic I may use once a month so that's not an issue.
Doesn't have keyless go but I want to do the smart key starter anyway and having keyless go I read makes it impossible.
Once I add the smart key the only thing left would be the distronic.
I noticed the car has a camera lense on the front windshield where the rear view mirror is mounted. Is this part of the lane keep assist?

So you already have...
The lighting package?
Dynamic Handling Package?
Panoramic moon roof?
Define "only thing left".

Are you seeking to add every possible option for the car?

In that case congrats! You are officially the 2nd or 3rd person here who has the Dynamic Handling Package for the W204 (since that's not normally sold in the US market). I factory ordered mine and had to wait for 8+ months for delivery.

True Story.
So all in all, I had my mind on other things. But this is why I can relate to the OP, since when we received the car, it was delivered EXACTLY to my specifications (even the interior trim), and this seems to be what the OP wants to accomplish with his.
