Too low

Right so I've done my measuring

At highest point, the c300 sport bumper is 6" off the ground.

At lowest, under the 'fangs' it is 4"

Which is not enough. I've noticed when I go into the driveway sometimes I scrape the curb.

I SCRAPE.

AHHHHH

So, I'd like to save my bumper. Gonna get an EZLIP soon, what else do you think would be a cheap option to save bottom of bumper?

Ezlip is fine, that's what I use also to save my lip. Another method I've seen is rhino lining the bottom of the bumper/lip.

2012 C300 sport
Maybe the following will apply to you also. A few months ago I brought my 2012 c300 sport to the dealer for transmission service. To me, the car scraped the front fairly often as well as riding what seemed to be somewhat "harsh". The service advisor asked if he could look over the car and when he retuned he said to my surprise that the front springs were bad. Being the suspicious person I am I inquired what made him think so. He said he measured the distance from the bumper to the ground and said it was about an inch or so too low. He also said it would be covered under warrantee as well as an alignment of both the wheels and headlights. Afterwards a lot less scraping and a smoother ride.

Idk, I've checked out other models my year/similar and they have about same height. This car isn't really a race car, so idk why its so low. I'll be smoothing out the curb with concrete soon. I haven't heard of rhino lining, I'll check it out.

Sounds like you have sport suspension. It is an additional charge when ordered from the dealer and it leaves you car lower both front and rear.

Interesting to hear people talk about how low their car is. It's much more frequent you see people complaining about how it's not low enough!

I am with you though in some regards. In the winter, I like to have my car higher. Which is why I love having a good coilover system that I can adjust the height with. Makes life much easier.

I thought sport suspension comes standard with the sport model

HUH.

I like being low with wide tires, but, I don't like to scrape, so its a conflict of interest lol.

Also not sure how you rhino line the bottom bumper? Seems like an SUV/Truck only thing?

Hahahaha, yes you are right... I wasn't aware/didn't remember/didn't know if you had stated you had the sport model. But yes, it is lower than the lux by over an inch I believe.

And yeah, I'm with you there.

I scrape in the summer on stock suspension, but not on the ground, my rear tires scrape on the fender liner, but NOT the fender it just BARELY touches the liner. With the liners off, no scraping! Hahaha. Funny what a mm can do!

Just to be clear, I DO use my fender liners, just saying how close it is.

I'm fine with it to be honest! But with my new suspension that is possible!
A good set of coilovers is what you need my friend!

Same way you would paint a car, mask the areas you don't want lined and spray away.
