ILS Brightness Issues??
Those who have the ILS package, have you noticed that the light does not stretch out very far in front of the car? When low beams are on and no light or other cars around it seems the driver side beam only goes out maybe 5 reflectors or so in front of the car. The passenger side goes further but doesn't seem like much. Also noticed the when approaching road signs on the freeway they don't light up as much as other cars, or even pulling up behind a car the headlights seem to be almost below the bumper. I really noticed this last weekend coming back from Key West at 11pm when it felt like i was struggling to see distance without the high beams. I use the "auto"" feature as much as i can but lately it seems to not be reacting like it should, i.e. staying on too long when a car approaches or not turning on at all. Was just curious if anyone else noticed the same issues or if mine again was a special case.

Totally agree. My 2012 C350 was amazing. The ILS is stupid bright but low on the road. The driver side is lower then the passenger because it is meant to light up the shoulder of the road. Unless you have the AHA option and keep your high beams on all the time, this will be the case.

I've not had that issue with mine but I do hate how water collects on the boot lid which when opened runs off the lid and splatters either side of the opening, all over you and some on the inside of the boot. Water seems to sit just under the rear window (estate).

I also have the ILS and found them to point too low.
The good news is, it's very easy to adjust!.
On top of each headlight towards the rear, there's a plastic screw with the markings up/down and you can adjust the height the light beams point.
Very easy to do!

You can adjust them without them resetting after start? You have the upgraded package right? Quad projector? My old Infiniti had adaptive headlights, I tried to adjust and after spending an hour on them I started the car and they reset back to where they were. I had lowered the car which was causing the issue. Dealer had to reprogram the leveling system for it to work.

Is it easy to reach these screws? I find mine to be too low too. There is barely light on the car's rear bumper in front of me with about 1 car lenght distance.

The lights will keep adjusting as they do but the center point of which the beam shines will remain to what you have adjusted it to.

Yes very easy, open the hood, and look towards the rear of the head light assembly, you will see a white/grey plastic screw that you can adjust with an Allen key, you also will see a marking to turn counter clockwise for up (raise the beam) or clockwise for down (to Lower the beam).
I suggest you park the car approx. 25 feet from a wall on a level surface in order to adjust the beams properly and not have one pointing higher than the other.
The adjustments are on each headlight, so make sure you adjust both to the same level wether you raise or lower them!

let me know if you were able to adjust it to your liking.
It's only when I got a 2016 c300 also with ILS as a loaner that I realized how low my lights were pointing.
After I adjusted them, I'm much happier now with the visibility!

Cool! Just took a look under the hood and definitely it's easy to reach. Just want to make sure there is one screw per headlamp and not per projector right?

So, went for a drive around the block a few times, had to make some more adjustments, went a little too high. i think i was able to get it set better but will continue to check as i go into work and drive the freeway with no cars.

Usually if it shines just below the license plate of the car in front you, it shouldn't blind anyone!

So, on the way into work headlights were soooo much better i could actually see. Looks like the pass side may need to come down just a little bit, looks like i am hitting a little high on passing road signs. No one flashed me and didnt see my lights going into others windows so i think im good. I should charge MB their hourly rate for doing a fix they should have done.

There was a service campaign for headlamp aim. My C400 was in for a keyless go issue in July and they also performed "205 headlamp aim 2015050002." I have the lighting package.
I'm not sure what exactly they did, but the headlights work very well.

Does the adjustment mess up the ILS auto high beam? I'd worry making such changes would interfere with the black 'box' that my ILS cuts around approaching cars would be misaligned.
