Is there anyway to remove the current seatbelts, and replace them with oem red seat belts? Has anyone ever tried this?

No problem, but as the seatbelts contain a charge they are pretty expensive.

If cost doesn't convince you otherwise, personally, I think they look horrible. Like AMG stickers they don't do anything for performance and they add a tacky element to what is foremost a "luxury" vehicle. You can take that money and spend it on an engine tune which will make your car faster rather than just "looking" faster.

Additionally, the price that Viper is telling you is the belts alone, add to that the usual MB exorbitant installation costs which are more or less justified in this case since you have to rip out a lot of interior panels to change them not to mention screw around with explosive pretensioners and so forth.

Totally agree with you, I've already tuned my car! just curious about any other upgrades i could do
