Purchasing a 2016 CPO sometime in August
After I read about the initial problems with the 2015 300C models I thought that maybe its better to go for a 2016 model.Any particular mfg month to avoid? A 2016 CPO is probably a loaner or a car returned for some reason since its too early for lease returns. I am afraid of buying some one else "lemons" . Also most loaners are pretty basic . The main options I would like is blind spot and rear parking camera and a better sound system. Don't need sunroof etc. I would like to keep the car for over 5 years. I would probably buy the car outright rather than lease and buy it after 3 years. Any suggestions would be very helpful . Thanks

Late production 15 or a 16 would be fine. Go to www.mbusa.com to the CPO site and do an inventory search for CPO C's. They'll list every CPO car in the country. You'll find base cars as well as loaded up ones.

Yes. There's a VIN decoder on the main page of the forum. Not sure the cut off date for the dreaded wrist pin issue that necessitated a tear down and rebuild of the block. The later the better.
Http:www.mypreownedmercedes.com is the direct link for a CPO search. CPO adds a year to the factory 4/48, so that would get you your 5 years. An additional year is around $2500, two are $4500.
