There was an LSD option available but you could only get it installed in Germany at what used to be factory AMG Performance Center (or something like that). You could not purchase that LSD separatly. I know this conflicts with what 91RS is saying but that is what I remember.

Not exactly, since that's technically not factory. That would be similar to a dealer installed item after the vehicle left the factory.

The LSD part number is A 203 350 41 64.
If you speak German, here is the old factory price list for you. The AMG Manufaktur translates to AMG Factory.

It was a factory option. I have it listed as an option on my window sticker. I turned off the traction control the other day and confirmed it does work.

I'm looking in the EPC right now and don't see that number anywhere or options for LSD's in the catalog, the part number doesn't pull up in the availability catalog also. Usually mercedes is pretty good about keeping special order options available (usually special order from Germany), but there is no mention of LSD. Maybe it was a special ordered car? Can you post a picture of your window sticker?

I just looked again and you're right. I misread the sticker.

It's odd because when I turned off the ESP the other day in the rain I was getting wheel spin from both rear tires.

I've never seen a factory fitted LSD on a C32. The aftermarket offering is not cheap but, the people that did this one say it was the best mod they did to the car.

Furtunatly I used an AMEX card and got my money back. Now enjoing my Quaife LSD for the last 5 years. One of the best (most fun) mods for the C32.

NOT in the USA was it an option!!! It uses ESP for traction control!!!

X2, it was never a US factory option at all!! I have a Quaife sitting in a box (its different for the C55 BTW). They Quaife is an excellent unit.
