I'm usually on one of the other forums (W204 and W205). My current ride is leaving tomorrow afternoon, it being sold, is/was a 2020 C63S coupe in Selenite Gray on black. It's replacement will be a 2020 AMG GTC in Matte Gray (fully wrapped) on Red/Black. I have a few 'mods in mind'. One of them is to swap out brake pads, upgrade to Goodridge SS brake lines along with a full fluid flush. The other is to consider a spoiler for the rear. I'm not a fan of the stock version that rises at speed.
We, my wife and me, test drove the car from the lot you see in the pic. I mean we test drove it. He bought it but doesn’t drive it much. Prefers his truck. So, the swap. It’ll be her DD.
And as suspected the brakes howl when applied. So I’m looking for pads and lines.

That was her first venture into the world of AMG. P1 & P2 packages. Front rotors were 2-pc versions. The second was a '13 white on red/black coupe that had the AMG Development Pkg. And her current ride just sold. Just waiting on a carrier to pick up the GTC and drive the 1,007 miles to my garage.

I'm getting apprehensive. Both cars are literally headed in opposite directions. The GTC should be here sometime tomorrow. Probably depends on how many pick ups and drop offs between Columbia and Houston. We got beat up on the price of selling the C63S coupe. Feel I got lowballed by about $4K. But, the market is settling down right now. However the same applied for my son. The GTC is losing value as well. But my contention is long after the W205 C63S coupes are no longer attractive the GTC will continue to always look good. Especially in Matte Selenite.
BTW, after I returned from Southest Asia in 1974, I got stationed at Beale AFB California. A SAC base near Marysville/Yuba City. I was a sensor system specialist who got worked on radar mapping system of the SR-71 Blackbird. While there, I bought a used 1970 Jag XKE coupe (hardtop) with a 4 speed. What I always found unique about that particular car, besides it being one of the most fun I ever had driving anything was that it had the European rack & pinion steering. Nothing unique there, right? But it was rack and pinion with power steering. The analogy I use is driving an old Triumph TR-6, but the steering was boosted similar to a 1955 Caddy's power steering. Luxurious but brutally direct. Imagine strapping yourself into that bad boy, dropping it in 1st gear and start driving out the back gate of Beale AFB, CA. Get on Hwy 20 heading up to Grass Valley, then on to Truckee, Donner Summit and Reno. Between the back gate and Grass Valley is was a brand new 2 lane black top with virtually no traffic.
The long snout of this GTC reminds me of that big *** nosed Jag I always needed to be careful of not crunching against something.

Well I'll be very interested to hear her thoughts on it. As I mentioned before, I am also the wife with the GTC tho a couple decades+ younger than your wife.
I hope when I'm in my 70's I'll love and enjoy these cars just as much as she does! 😊

These were her last three cars. I think she likes AMG's. My job is to take care of them for her.
Love the rubber bands for tires on the Vette. Nothing that exotic for me in recent years. Five lumbar surgeries and more than 55 rounds of cortecosteroid injections (outlived my pain management surgeon) over the last few decades forced me to give up on manual trannies. Old school here. My last 'beast'. 2009 GT500 manual (of course). Rebuilt the entire suspension starting with KW3's. Then Kooks headers and H-pipe (my wife bought them for me for Christmas one year), a smaller pulley, a 127mm CAI and a tune: 650HP!
Question: Every car that I've ever owned wound up getting sold in better condition than when I first bought it. Am I the only one that does this?
Sweet 'Stang! Sounds like you're a modder like we are. Love the manuals too. So to cure itch, I just bought a '12 JCW Coupe and an '06 supercharged JCW for an AutoX'er.
Tires on the Z should have been pretty much oem size. Could be the picture that makes them look thinner.
And every car we own is better after we're done..I'm also a hobbyist detailer 😉

Quick tip, back it in everywhere. No front camera + the sheer length out front + the parking lot curbs around here mean hitting the splitter is inevitable! Regardless of how careful you think you're being.
