2006 C230 rims on 2005 C55
I am looking into selling my C230 and upgrading to an E55. I have a dedicated set of winter snow tires and stock C230 wheels. Just wondering if those wheels, the 2006 C230 stock wheels will fit the C55.
I did some searching, but did not find the answer.
Thanks
Pete

I had a 2006 C230 before and they BARELY cleared the C230 calipers, so my guess would be they probably won't work on the C55. The rear ones may fit but the front will not. Since you have both, why not just jack it up and check?

The drivetrain won't be much more expensive to maintain. A few more quarts of oil and a few more spark plugs. The big cost increases with be gas, tires (don't expect to get much more than 15k out of a set of rears) and pads/rotors due to parts costs.

Thanks for all the advice. I will look into wheel spacers or a new set of winter rims. Just trying to convince myself that one of the cars, the C55 or E55 will do well in the winter. I am located just south of Washington DC and this winter was long and cold with multiple days of snow. The C230 does well in the snow due to the lack of torque, but both the C55 and E55 have a little bit more torque
