Advice for plm he, cm30 pump, water wetter install
Just got a combo he, cm30 pump with water wetter deal from eBay. The pump and heat exchanger install seem pretty straight forward, what I'm concerned about tho is the coolant drainage and refilling. When do I drain it, how, what fluid to put back in, and how much. And do I just add the water wetter right in with it? Any advice from someone who's done this already would be appreciated. Thanks.

You will need to drain the fluid to remove the old pump/HE. I took the hose off the HE and drained it from there until nothing more came out. Just add mercedes coolant from the dealer. Fill up through the overflow bottle. You need to bleed the intercooler which involves partially pinching the return hose. I would drive around a few days before closing the isolation valves if you are going to install them. Look at my link in my signature.

Yes to both. I am also on my phone so i can't copy/paste it for you. I'll do it tonight if no one else does otherwise search for plm in the title.
