C32 Crank pulley problems!!!
Hey guys,
I have a really bad wobbly crank pulley. So I got an asp 178 to replace it but I cant get the damn stock pulley off!!>< The thing is crazy... my 1/2 ingersall rand impact wont take it off. I made some crank pulley tool but the thing is so tight my 2 foot breaker bar is bending slightly and pretty much destroys the homemade tool.. any tips or tricks?? I have been trying for four days to get this thing off. Maybe I need one of those 1200 ft lb impacts or something?

So the issue is getting the crank bolt loose?
I have the same crank tool as posted by Lenin. I used it and a ~12-16inch piece of pipe that went from the tool to the ground at ~45 degree angle (may need to add 2x4 under to get the angle) and a 1/2 inch ratchet with a 4ft pipe to break it loose.
To remove the pulley I could not find the right tool so I borrowed an Advanced Auto pulley puller that has the 3 arms. It didn't work so I took use the metal tabs that the arms typically hook to, slid them through the crank pulley holes, slid long allen keys through the metal tabs and used the puller to pull it off.

Where are you located? If in the Washington DC area you can borrow my crank holder.

Do NOT counterhold the crank at the flywheel.. the WIS specifically says you risk shearing the teeth of the flywheel. I removed the crank pulley with ease with me and a friend... we used the OEM tool.. but a 6 foot hollow bar on it... one of us held that bar... used a breaker bar with a socket... and then another hollow 6 foot bar on the breaker bar... one held.. one cracked it loose.... came pretty easily...

After using the OEM tool that Lenin sent me I got off the pulley. It was still extremely hard. I had a breaker bar with the feet to an engine stand on it and it was still giving me trouble. Finally u heard a loud CRACKKKK... I thought I broke something but it was just the bolt finally coming loose. Thanks Lenin for everything.
Now I need to find a smaller water pump pulley as mine doesn't fit with the 178 pulley lol
