Hey,,, good that you reacted on my ET43.
That made me thinking.
And,, iīm wrong
As my rims are ET35 and iīve got 8mm spacer it will ofcourse be ET27
And i can add about 3-5mm without rubbing.
That makes our measurements line up to each other.
So i can run about ET22 as maximum, this would clear up my mess in my head.
Just to place an order then
Thank you TruTaing.

I doubt you're running an 8mm spacer because our front suspension has a little lip on the wheel hub. As a result, most people either use spacers under 5mm or over 10mm.
Anywho. You will not poke at ET25.

I am running 8mm spacer,,
Special centerrings was ordered to center the rims
And as you say, a very little lip is there to help guide the wheel.
My plastic centerring centers the wheel just outside that one.
And.. mine is converted to, what do you call it 'lugs'?
Nuts has also ordinary 60 degree cone(not mercedes radius), as my wheels are made for Audi originally.

and... one thing.
Do not ever think that silly plastic ring will center the wheel perfectly.
When going hard a day at the track as an example iīve seen melted plastics smeared all over the hub.
Still,, the wheel was perfectly centered.
When using plastic ring, itīs the boltīs with their taper or radius that centers the wheel.
The ring is only a guide to help mounting the wheel.
Using metalring or rims with correct hubdiam is a whole other ballpark.

I have C63 rear spring with 5mm pads and eibach 22mm sway bar to the rear, for the front I have a front h&r 26mm sway bar and more front camber. I like the feeling, very more oversteer than oem set-up. I have a Quaife Lsd too and a square set-up in 255/40r17 on 17x8.5 wheels. I have 4 pistons rear caliper with 13'' slk rotor. Really good at the track.
I think sway bar option are a good option for you!

I chickened out..
I canīt buy a coiloversetup and then find out that my tires rub,
After scanning this forum a couple of horrorpics floated to the surface.
And as my tires has a bit more diam than std,,, nope.. i wonīt go that route.
So i bought a set of Bilstein B8īs instead and will have 'lesjöfors' make new springs custom for me.
Good to have relatives working at the factory
And funny enough itīs my momīs homevillage, this Lesjöfors village.
Itīs located about 60miles from here.
I might just get new rollbars as recommended instead

2006 C55 RENNtech
C55 suspension upgrade
Well I myself was in the same predicament as you,I recently removed my H&R coilovers and was just about to pull the trigger on KW V2 but,
I just purchased a set of Renntech springs with the B8s.
As for the tire size it is not really suppose to make a difference with 18-19-20s If your tire shop knows what they are doing the plus 1 or plus 2 concept in the end the overall diameter should be the same
If you don't understand.
Lets say the overall size of the diameter is 26'' on a 18'' rim/tire combo
Weather you go 19 or 20 it still should be 26 in the end.
You are just going to have less sidewall.
Eg. front 18x8.5 et 30 tire 225/40/18 = 19x8.5 et30 tire 235/35/19

Yes.. but you have to do consider that tiremanufacturers isnīt all the same in measurements.
I measured twice and cutīd once, it was way to small clearance for my taste.
Remember, rimprotector on different tires are very very different.
Everyone says it should work, well,, it donīt.
I know all about tiredimensons and percentage of width is profile,,, yada yada.
My tires are about 10mm more diameter than std.
And clearance to std strut is at the rim-lip, 9mm, then the rimprotector is a bit wider then the rim., and at exactly that spot std strut is pressed oval.
And upwards against the std perch itīs ~6mm clearance.
And clearance between rim and fender is 3mm, cannot retract any more from ET
And now itīs too late, the B8īs are already home.
