Not when the car is worth 5k and the repairs include a set of headlights, a bumper cover, hood, and grille. With labor at a proper shop, those things will salvage any c43 today. I dont think replacing all those parts will change anything on the car unles of course its not done properly. The car will still be "perfect"They were hand assembled so they arent perfect to begin with
I would never consider a car that had frame damage tho. Thats more of a serious issue to me

My car was salvaged due to a broken xenon headlight, dented fender and cracked front bumper. Ask me if I care. Im not planning to sell it.
I do want to pick up a clean title c36 or c43 tho just to keep

I'd put my R titled 43 against the clean ones any day of the week; granted it didn't hit anyone nor did it get rear ended. Like I said, it's in better condition than my old black 43 that only had 70k on it. Would I do it again? No. This situation was atypical and I made the purchase based on this. However, because of resale value alone, I wouldn't do it again. Also, some insurance companies won't cover salvage/rebuilt titled cars. This wasn't an issue with mine as I've had full coverage since the day I bought it. All said, I take care of this car as if it just rolled off the lot.

wife and I drive C43's
And mine was also totaled in a wreck, there's a thread here. fender, bumper, headlight, blinker, rad support, LCA = total loss. all those parts were replaced.
but in my state, cars over 10 years don't have to get a salvage title. so, moot point!

haha, it's nothing to brag about! I bought 2 cars that everyone on this board would RUN FROM. one was $2300 and had zero service history and some pretty legit issues (massive oil leak at crank pulley, busted driveshaft bearing, no AC, grinding alternator, loud idler pulley)
my silver one was 4,400 with 240k miles, but it had a decent service history and was in GREAT shape (before the wife wrecked it)
Anyone can own multiple C43's now that they are at the bottom of the market!

Anyone can own a c43 nowadays however these cars are still expensive to maintain!
Who said owning an AMG is cheap?
I recently bought 10L of ATF öil from German MB dealership, cost me €172 euros incl 19% tax for 10L ATF.
pilotbushing
trans gasket kit + washer + trans oilfiller cap lock pin
I also bought 3L brakefluid and 2L diff oil, bolts for my new engine mounts
Total incl shipping was €401 euros
Most times buying from germany is cheaper than in my country
