Mercedes Benz C280
6MT W202
Alright Fellas,
I'm going to wake up the legendary question that's been sleeping for a while. Has anyone successfully swapped a manual 6-speed transmission from c240/c320 into their m112/m113 w202? I've done research on here and other outlets, but all old threads and no definite answer. Plenty of people have asked over the years and the answer is always the same "Sell your car and buy something faster" or "Sell your car and buy a manual" Any info would be helpful!!!

I've been keeping an eye out for something as well, like you found the same responses. For me I love my C36 and thats the only thing that would make the car come alive more so.
that being said, all I have found myself is this video from europe:
just sounds so much better when the car is being shifted manuall versus the sound of an automatic. not to mention less costly repairs should transmission parts break. Plus it's an AMG, it's ment to be something fun to drive.

Here in the States, best choice for a M112/M113 manual transmission swap is to source a complete 2001-2004 SLK320 with a 6spd manual.
The R170 chassis is virtually a shortened w202 one and many mechanical components fit from one to another. Having a full r170 donor vehicle would be the easiest way to do a right w202 swap with everything included, all sensors, modules, traction control and the rest.
