99 C43 AMG
Key fob range
Hey guys/gals, so, I just picked up a 99 C43. It's gone some issues to say the least (nothing major thankfully): a couple little elec things don't work, but I digress.

My last C43, I could unlock it from the top/4th floor of my apt building, looking down at it on the street. This one, just replaced the batteries in the remote, and I have to literally be standing next to the car/driver door for it to lock/unlock. Did this before I put new batteries in it as well.

Any idea what gives, or why? Anyone know the location of the receiver inside the car?
