Cool. Your friend makes the video fun to watch.

I so wish the car at least had a nice roof liner and he showed some nice third person view rolling clips

I agree. I've been so focused on the mechanical issues that I haven't had time or money to do the headliner yet. Finally got those sorted at this point. How it looks is how I bought it unfortunately... Well other than the front bumper since an armadillo went through the fog light and cracked the bumper. I also have an entire build thread of this car on Club202

ugh all I want is a manual swap... I have a e36 parts car that I was hoping to use as my donor vehicle, but not sure if I want to continue down that path or go with a 190 or slk tranny.

I have a complete SLK manual swap from a 99 model if you're looking for one. It's complete from driveshaft to pedals, everything. PM me.

The Getrag is definitely longer and heavier than the mb manual trans. I originally got a trans from a 190e 2.3 8v that was a junk car. I blew third gear up in that one in about a month. Never did clutch drops or anything like that. Then bought a reman from Benz and the same thing happened. The getrag bolts up to the bell housing with no problem. Had to extend the crossmember for the trans mount. Originally extended the driveshaft 4" for the my trans but I wouldn't waste time since they blow up lol The car is so much more fun with the getrag in it. I also have a 3.27 rear end from a c230 in it
